From a vision to unlock the flexibility of the energy system to full market access – Ntricity’s journey has been about building the technology, expertise and capabilities needed to turn flexible energy resources into market-ready assets.
2019 – The beginning
Every journey starts with an idea. For Ntricity, that idea was to unlock the flexibility of the energy system. Lars Skoglund turned it into reality, starting as a one-man company.
2021 – Platform
The first lines of code were written, turning the idea into the foundation of what would become the Enerhive platform for trading and optimization.
2023 – Tech
The first team members joined to build the foundations for connecting and controlling flexible energy resources.
2024 – Growth
Still in its startup phase, the company started to grow and expanded the team to 13 people.
2025 – Scale-up phase
New ownership brought clarity and direction, with a strong focus on controlling wind power and large-scale energy resources as the company entered its scale-up phase.
2026 – BRP and BSP
With the team growing beyond 20 people, Ntricity evolved into a full-service provider. Advanced trading and optimization were complemented by balance responsibility.
